What is the Common App?

Over 1000 colleges use one, centralized, application, called the "Common Application", including UNC, NCSU, App State, UNCC, Ga Tech, UVA, Furman, Wofford, Duke, Wake Forest, High Point, Vanderbilt, Davidson, and all the Ivy League schools, to name a few. In our experience, the vast majority of college-bound seniors apply to some colleges that take the Common App.

Why do I need this class?

While some parts of the application are self-explanatory, there are many sections that are not intuitive. It's best to have a trained eye and experienced voice guiding you through the process. Your chances of admission suffer when you have errors, omissions, or poorly completed sections. Let us help you have a polished and perfect application!



How do I prepare?

To get the most out of this class, go ahead and create your Common App ID and password before the class. (Commonapp.org) 

Go to the tab that says "Common App" and start filling out the sections there, covering details about your family, school, activities, and test scores. We will polish those sections up as part of the workshop that day. Then, we will also work on the other tabs that specifically relate to the colleges you're pursuing.

For the Zoom workshop, what would be ideal is to have one computer/ipad/phone in use for the Zoom presentation but then also have a computer with you on which you have your Common App account pulled up for quick reference and use throughout the class.
