Avoid the misinformation, scams, and gimmicks out there surrounding college funding. It can be dicey and costly to trust the wrong sources.

This is one class that is based on the facts of how college funding works, combining merit scholarships and need-based aid. We will discuss how to maximize both, understand how different colleges extend aid differently, how to use dual enrollment and AP courses in high school to create options for shortening college by a year or two, and even the options for a more affordable education in Europe.

Why We Offer This Workshop:

  • The average price of a private university is now $58K per year (up to $80k/yr)
  • The average price of a public university is now $25K per yr
  • The average length of time it takes to graduate college now is six years
  • Student loan debt is now over $1.76 trillion in the US.
  • Cost of college increases have outpaced wage increases 8-fold since 1990

The Good News:

The most expensive schools (even Ivies) often cost less than state schools

  • That you can calculate what you'll pay at most schools
  • Owning your own business can dramatically lower the cost of college.
  • The lottery scholarships can be very generous (but are different, by the way, states)
  • There are significant federal programs that pay kids $25k/year for specific majors (like comp science)
  • That you can appeal for a better offer from a college & lower your cost
  • Students may get more scholarship money once in college.
  • There are highly generous grant programs for kids with parents who still need to get their 4-year bachelor's degrees.

Tip: Don't assume you won't get need-based aid! And don't assume your student won't get scholarships. However, learning this information as soon as possible is essential, even as early as the student's 8th or 9th grade year.

Spend a few hours to learn how all the moving parts work and how to pay the most affordable price for college possible.

This is too big of a commitment to just "wing it"- trust a team of experienced professionals to mentor you.
